Mariia completed her Master Thesis at our laboratory. In her PhD project Mariia will continue working on identification of novel factors that might influence the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into pancreatic progenitors.
Mariia also holds a Master’s degree in ecology. She obtained it at National University of Kyiv (Ukraine), where she investigated the effects of cytokinines derived from cultivated medicinal mushrooms on cell toxicity, Toll-like receptor expression, and glutathione system activity in hepatocytes and T-lymphocytes.
Privately, Mariia enjoys spending her free time playing drums in a music band, skiing, and exploring the world of fragrances.
