We kindly invite you to the seminar “Reconfiguration of genome-lamina interactions marks the commissioning of limb cell-fates”, which will be given by Dr Michael Robson (https://www.mdc-berlin.de/robson#t-profile ) from the Max-Delbrück-Centrum for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin. Please find her short bio below.
The lecture is organized as part of the KNOW RNA Research Centre in Poznań, funded by the ID-UB and will be held on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at 10:30, in the Sala Rady Wydziału (Faculty Council Lecture Hall), Faculty of Biology UAM.
Additionally, Michael will be available in the same place for an informal career talk with PhD students and postdocs after the talk aprox. at 12:00 pm, all welcome.
If someone is interested to talk to Michael one to one – please contact Michał Gdula (michal.gdula@amu.edu.pl) by Wednesday 9th April.
Bio: After BSc studies in Molecular Biology at the Imperial College London, Michael Robson started a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD with Eric Schirmer at the University of Edinburgh in 2011. During this time he investigated the important role of tissue-specific nuclear envelope proteins in regulating transcription during differentiation. In 2016 Mike began a postdoc with Stefan Mundlos at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin and was awarded both the EMBO long term and Henry Wellcome Fellowships. He worked there on a a toolkit to examine and genetically dissect the function and evolution of 3D genome organization in controlling gene expression in single cells during mouse development in vivo. Since 2023 he is a group leader at the Max-Delbrück-Centrum for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin.
