Dawid graduated from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a master’s degree in Biotechnology. During his graduate studies, he worked on the molecular characterization of S1/P1 endonucleases from selected bacterial and amoebal species, focusing on their biochemical properties and roles in nucleic acid metabolism.

He is currently a PhD student investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis associated with mutations in the FUS gene. His research focuses on the role of LINE-1 retrotransposons activation in ALS-FUS and its potential contribution to neurodegenerative processes and neuroinflammation.

In his free time, Dawid enjoys exploring technological innovations, playing video games, and spending time in nature, most often with a fishing rod in hand.
