From September 9-11, Poznań hosted the Plant Meiosis Meeting (PMM 2026), bringing together over 90 researchers from 12 countries to discuss the latest advances in plant meiosis research. The three-day conference featured high-level scientific presentations, vibrant discussions, and numerous opportunities for new international collaborations.

The scientific program was highlighted by a keynote lecture delivered by Neil Hunter (University of California, Davis), along with insightful talks from invited speakers and early-career researchers who presented cutting-edge, often unpublished findings.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants, speakers, and session chairs who contributed to the success of the event. Special recognition goes to Maja Szymańska-Lejman and the entire organizing team for their dedicated work in planning and delivering a seamless conference.

Congratulations to the award winners:

Best Talk Prize: Nicola Gorringe (University of Cambridge)

Best Poster Prize: Youngkyung Lee (INRAE, Versailles)

Thank you to everyone who joined us in Poznań. We look forward to seeing you at the next Plant Meiosis Meeting!
