Amit is graduated from Bilaspur University in Bilaspur with master degree in Microbiology and Bioinformatics. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on the antibacterial and antifungal activity of Ashwagandha and Aamla. Then he worked as junior research fellow in a project related to Plasmodium DDi (DNA-damage induced) protein at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB-INDIA). In October 2018, he joined the group and started his PhD in the project entitled Anhydrobiosis as an anti-aging strategy: testing of the „Sleeping Beauty” and “Picture of Dorian Gray” models with tardigrades. He loves cooking and in his free time, he likes to walk around the parks and gardens.
