Kasia graduated from Poznan University of Life Sciences with a Master’s degree in biotechnology. During master studies she was working in the Institute of Human Genetics (Polish Academy of Sciences) in Poznań on induced pluripotent stem cells differentiated towards cardiac lineage and their therapeutic potential. Since October 2020 she has become PhD student in professor Sobczak lab and her research focus is placed on discovering new factors governing non-canonical protein synthesis in neurodegenerative diseases associated with short nucleotide repeats expansion. In free time Kasia is a hiking and cycling enthusiast.
