Abraham did his PhD in drug-protein binding kinetics with Prof. Dr. Rebecca Wade between 2019-2024, where he combined Brownian dynamics and Molecular dynamics simulations to come up with an efficient protocol for kon calculations. He has also been contributing to a project with Prof. Dr. Artur Gora’s group where they aim to identify productive poses and regioselectivity of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) diffusional encounter complexes with either cellulose or chitin. Currently, he is working on the Glf sugar transporter project in our group, where he aims at designing mutants of the Glf protein to enhance its function as a sugar importer in E. coli, P. putida and C. thermodepolymerans to increase the biomass production in these bacteria.
