Nishita received her MSc degree in Biochemistry from Banaras Hindu University in India. After that she moved to Poland to pursue her PhD research in the group of Prof. Jan Brezovsky. She is focused on study of rare ligand transport pathways in proteins with buried active sites called tunnels. Her research work includes exploring enhanced sampling method to study the rare tunnels, that are used for transporting ligands and water molecules in and out of the protein. Nishita loves to play badminton and sometimes chess. She is fond of cats and dogs, you may find her saying hello to dogs and cats. In her free time, she loves to read sci-fi novels and watch movies.
