Agata obtained her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, where she conducted her thesis research under the supervision of Prof. Piotr Ziółkowski. During her studies she focused on analyzing crossover variation within pericentromeric regions across diverse Arabidopsis thaliana accessions. 

In 2025, she joined the lab of Piotr Ziółkowski as a PhD student, where she investigates the mechanisms and regulation of the class II crossover pathway in Arabidopsis.
