Amina Chaudhry is a plant molecular biologist specializing in crop genetics, genome editing, and plant developmental biology. She completed her Ph.D. in Plant Biology at Rutgers University as a Fulbright Fellow and a Meta Prevorsek Turner Fellow. During her doctoral research, she combined CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, maize transformation, cis-regulatory analysis, and genomic mapping to dissect the genetic and regulatory networks controlling shoot and inflorescence architecture in maize. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Genome Biology Lab at Adam Mickiewicz University, where she investigates how genetic and epigenetic marks shape crossover formation and genetic diversity in plants.
