Hans A.R. Bluyssen is a full Professor at the Faculty of Biology of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from The Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam and completed postdoctoral training at the New York University Medical Center, and University Medical Center Utrecht. Since 2008 he is head of the Laboratory of Human Molecular Genetics within the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

In his free time he is a passionate sports fan and appreciates good food and wine. He likes to travel, watch movies, listen to music and to photograph nature.
