Mahdi graduated with a master’s degree in Applied Genetics from Bangalore University, India. After receiving a Ph.D. scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, He started his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics at the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB). He studied the implementation of gene and cell therapy in neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. Then, he joined the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Poland, as a postdoctoral fellow, where he has been studying how transcriptional changes, epigenetic modifications, and chromatin interactions shape interferon response in a timely manner. He loves to travel and learn about other people, cultures, foods, architecture, and history.
