Magda is an experimental biologist and a budding bioinformatician. She graduated from biotechnology at the Jagiellonian University as well as from bioinformatics at the University of Glasgow She then did her PhD studies in cancer biology at the Cancer Research Centre in Edinburgh. In her last post, she was a postdoc at the Caceres Lab at the University of Edinburgh, where she got fascinated by RNA biology. Having received NCN Sonata Bis and NAWA Polish Returns funding, she moved to Poznan to set up her own lab.
