Aleksandra is an experimental molecular biologist. She finished her undergraduate studies and did her PhD at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. During her PhD studies she was interested in bioenergetics of mitochondria of various organisms, mainly focusing on uncoupling proteins. Afterwards she started her postdoc at Prof. Zofia Szweykowska-Kulińska team. Currently she is focused on barley microRNAs, their gene structures, expression regulation and regulatory roles during abiotic stresses.
