Monika finished her undergraduate studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań where she also did her PhD in Laboratory of Bioenergetics IBMiB. During her PhD studies she was investigating protein import pathways to mitochondria in slime mold Dictyostelium discoideum. After that she joined Mikołaj Olejniczak’s lab where her area of interest is the meaning of the role that small regulatory RNAs palys in defence and adaptation mechanisms in bacteria.
