Anna Jędrzejak graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland with a MSc degree in biotechnology. During her master thesis at Stem Cell Laboratory she focused on identification of the specific signals driving the differentiation of pancreatic beta-cells during mouse embryonic development. She was awarded with several grants, including a Preludium grant. As a PhD project, Anna studies previously identified signals in the context of human development, using 3D pancreatic differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells. She also explores the link between mechanistic interactions during differentiation and its efficiency.
