Marta graduated from the University of Life Sciences in Poznan, where she received a master’s degree in biology in 2013 and an engineering degree in biotechnology in 2015. In 2015, she started her doctoral studies at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan. Her research has focused on signaling pathways involved in the induction of programmed cell death in relation to the energy status of cancer cells. She received her PhD degree in 2021. Marta has mastered the latest eukaryotic cell culture techniques and feels confident in flow cytometry analysis. Since July 2022, she has been employed as a post-doc in the Stem Cell Laboratory, where she is involved in a project on the Hippo signaling pathway in stem cells.

She is a big fan of true crime podcasts.
