Oyewale obtained a DVM degree from Nigeria, where he had his thesis in veterinary developmental biology (theriogenology). He has an ardent interest in biotechnology, most especially the use of animal models in disease modelling/diagnostics and drug discovery. He is undergoing MSc study in biotechnology and is part of Savani Anbalagan Lab; focused on use of zebrafish as an animal model for translational research. An ambivert that enjoys indoor activities, minimal social interaction, but likes public speaking. Loves football and long distance travelling.
